So many life-changing experiences at GSAA! Here are just a few:
Annual Corn Feed and Lizard Butte Worship – This tradition dates back at least 50 years! Our students and their families join us on the first Friday evening of school for a delicious corn feed and a trip to Lizard Butte for an evening of singing and worship. The picture above was taken at this event.
Freshman Campout – Life can be a bit unsettling when you come to a new school with people that you may not know very well. We like to take our freshmen on a camping trip at the beginning of the year, where they do bonding activities and spend time getting to know one another. They always come back with new friendships and a lot more confidence for the school year ahead.
Spiritual Retreat – The spiritual retreat at Camp Ida Haven in McCall is something our students look forward to every year! Three days full of games, water activities, worship, and great food. Also done at the start of the year so that everyone can get to know each other.
Senior Survival – Our senior class and their sponsors head out into the wilderness for the weekend and spend time in worship, team-building activities, and make life-long memories with their class.
The Longest Table – A school-wide potluck celebrating the Thanksgiving season. We have so many things to be thankful for at GSAA!
Volleyball & Basketball Tournaments at Walla Walla University – Our teams get to go for a long weekend and play against other Christian schools around the northwest.
Steelheads Hockey Game – A fun time is had by our student body and their families as we support our elite choir, Chorale, as they perform the national anthem. Then the cheering begins as we cheer on our favorite Steelheads!
Winter Sports Day – We take the day to experience skiing and ice skating to celebrate the winter season.
Idaho Youth Conference – A beautiful weekend full of great music, special worship speakers, and fun activities. Many students have given their hearts to the Lord during this special time.
Spring Concert & Art Show – The event where we get to show off our talented students! Beautiful music and artwork by our Art 1 & 2 classes and our College Art class. Amazing!
